Now that I almost near the end of my pregnancy, I wanted to share how I was able to stay in my pre-pregnancy clothes up until 32 weeks. That may not mean much to some people, but this was HUGE for me. A Little disclosure, I did this for health reasons not because of the infamous snapback. If you follow me on Instagram, I previously shared that I have PCOS which makes me insulin resistance. If I am not careful about my food choices, my sugar stays high Getting serious about my condition is what started the entire #searchingformywaitjourney. It’s a lifestyle for me, pregnant or not.
Before getting pregnant, I was on a roll. Weight was coming down, sugar was being regulated. Things were cool and POOF, I get pregnant. Safe to say Stephen was loving my new waist LOL.Anyway, In addition to watching what I ate, daily I was drinking greens on the go. It’s a packet filled with a daily serving of fruits and veggies. Perfect for on the go moms like myself. Now let me be honest, for the 1st trimester, I could not drink them. Going into my second trimester, I revisited them every other day but now I’m back to every day.
Three reasons why I love the greens:
- TMI but I go regularly, if you are pregnant or were pregnant before, you know that constipation is serious. I have no time to walk around with being bloated and carrying extra weight. Seriously? It’s one or the other. LOL
- The daily serving of fruit and veggies helps reduce my cravings and keeps my blood sugar level. I am craving sugar like no other these days, I mean an entire pack of pink starburst or those cookies from Chic Fil A. My God! However, once I drink this in the morning and put some lemon in it, it satisfies my sweet tooth and keeps me in check.
- It’s CONVENIENT. One packet right in my water, topped with some lemon juice takes all of 3 mins. I just don’t have time to cut up veggies and fruits AND blend them. No ma’am, not now, I can’t. Even attempting to do that makes me want to scream.
If you are wondering, I did consult with my doctor and he happily approved. Here’s why, Greens on the Go are vegan, soy + dairy free and non-GMO. C’mon Jesus!!!
